I'm reading you book with interest Zane. I'm enjoying your research, but now I have some questions about the fish oil. You have a woman, (at 170 lbs.) taking 2500 mg EPA and 2000 mg DHA. Would you suggest the same amount for an active male? By the way, (and I'm sure you know this already), the Zone Omega Zx is powerful stuff. 1 teaspoon equals 1800 mg of EPA and 900 mg of DHA. I figured out that I was taking, (on average serving) and tablespoon in the morning. This is equal to 3 teaspoons. A bottle of this stuff run about $62.00 plus S & H. The Carlson's fish oil is easier to get and cheaper, but not as strong.
Again, check your tablespoon. Unless you are using an actual measuring spoon, I doubt very much you are taking a full tablespoon.
But yes, the amounts I recommend by weight are the same for men and women. I recommend you take the Carlson's DHA in tandem with the Omega Rx to get a better EPA/DHA balance. But in combination you should not exceed the upper limits I give in my book for your weight.
I purchased some Carlson labs fish oil at a local health food store, to see how it might taste, and was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I have to increase the dosage to get even close to the Zone lab single serving dosage. On the plus side - Carlson's is much cheaper.
After a review of my fish oil intake - it appears that I'm overdosing. The combined dose Zone/Carlson has been 5,200 mg EPA and 2,800 mg DHA.
A teaspoon of Zone labs is 1800 mg on EPA, and 900 mg on DHA. I measured a tablespoon, (which is what I've been taking), and the amount is equal to two teaspoons. I've also been taking Carlson in the evening, so I'm going to dial it down a bit and see what happens.
I'll estimate my intake (based on your suggested servings), to reflect my weight of 180 lbs.:
2800 mg EPA 2300 mg DHA
I've been on the oil for about two weeks, and have noticed some increased sensitivity in the prostate area, but nothing significant enough to take me over the top in to the land of Super-O. I will say that the other day - I had this interesting vibrating sensation all through my body - which was followed by a unique altered state of consciousness. It was like a wave sensation. Hopefully, this is a precursor to things to come.
Sorry, I miscommunicated. I recommend a specific Carlson's product--Carlson's Super-DHA which is almost all DHA. Regular Carlson's fish oil is similar to the Omega Rx. I was saying to combine the Omega Rx fish oil which has a two-to-one EPA/DHA ratio with the extra DHA product that Carlson makes. I'm trying to get you down closer to a one-and-a-half to one ratio, which is the way both fatty acids occur in nature. The DHA has the more immediate sexual benefit. My apologies for the confusion, at least you can consume the stuff you bought in a matter of course.
For a man, after two weeks on the fish oil you not only should notice increased prostate sensitivity, you should also notice increased libido.
Thanks for the clarification. I'll look into getting the Super DHA product ASAP. I hope they have it in a liquid form as I don’t like swallowing pills.
As for my current state - increased libido isn't the issue. I’m focusing on triggering an orgasmic state through prostate stimulation (using an Aneros device.) After seven months, I think I’m on the cusp of having these unique orgasms. The fish oil has definitely increased sensitivity, in fact one of the contact points, (the Perineum) is very sensitive, (actually for the first time.) I consider this a good sign of things to come. I have no trouble with manual stimulation at all and my drive is good - though somewhat repressed since the breakup with a girlfriend over 6 months ago.
I do appreciate the suggested ejaculation recommendations as some of the Tantric programs I’ve been reading about seemed harsh, (weeks without ejaculation.)
Good to hear! I know what you are after and it should help, I was just saying that in addition an expected effect of a man going on the diet is increased libido, no matter where he was starting from. Another reason to avoid draconian tantric ejaculation restriction!
As a side note Zane - I know you've mentioned, in your book, that you down played the various orgasmic states you've achieved along the way, using your diet, so as not to frighten your readers - but I find that information invaluable. Of course being a male, I can’t relate completely to your physical states or orgasm, but I think it would be interesting reading to learn how you achieved the various levels – and yes, what happened, (altered awareness and all.) I think it would give people something to aspire too.
Without knowing it Zane, you’ve moved into the role of a modern tantric therapist. Helping people, through diet, move into states of physical bliss through orgasmic release.
Well, I've had to be so personal just to get my story out, I like concentrating on the more objective facts of nutrition. Also my personal story is rather embarrassing. I have certainly had lots of good quality sex since the break up of my marriage, but the kundalini rising was triggered by the same thing that triggered my initial openness to my diet--my tulpa. I briefly mention in the book early on my imaginary man and it was more of that that caused my energy to rise.
So really talking about it wouldn't work out, at least not in this culture. A woman can have Jesus-is-my-boyfriend as long as it's not sexual, Krishna isn't mainstream, and God forbid a grown woman confesses to being a fangirl. I'd rather leave the tantric advice to the tantric professionals. There are plenty of them out there in real tantric marriages and relationships, less shame in being public.
But I think maybe if you imagine a woman with a Nexus giving you the Aneros pleasure, or imagining a woman on her own flexing and feeling the pleasure you feel, or even you having traditional sex with her and her feeling what you are feeling with the Aneros, triggered by the sensations of your penis inside her--that would be my suggestion. That would allow you to have a different and more engaged relationship with the process, to anthropomorphize it.

Nice. I didn't even think about working the fantasy aspect into the equation - thanks. I should clarify by stating that on the Aneros site there are suggestions by some of the Super-O experiencers to watch porn until you're excited, and the prostate is stimulated, (then proceed with a session.) But that's been hit and miss for me - as I sometimes find porn to be uninspiring and flat. An imaginary partner is something completely new.....very cool.
Hey, one other thing Zane. Perhaps it’s because I live in Northern California, and talk of orgasmic states and sexual satisfaction is the norm, (well at least in my circle of friends), but I think there is a greater need today for a woman to be forthright and vocal in her promotion of sexual discovery. As an author, you’ve already touch upon the effects of your diet. It would be a natural extension of this work to explain to your readers what its like to develop orgastically. Correct me if I’m wrong, but other than Margo Anand, who isn’t mainstream at all, there are no current works on exploring orgasms. Then again, perhaps the idea of sitting with Oprah and discussing an orgasm is just a but much…lol.
Dr. Beverly Whipple is mainstream and definitely exploring orgasms! Lou Paget too, and there's a recent book out, Urban Tantra, that is very frank about orgasm talk. Also my nemesis Mabel Iam! has books out on tantra and orgasms, and of course my hero Betty Dodson was the first of us all and still going strong. I'm just more vulnerable and flawed and peculiar with my tantric journey, although I think I've gone as high as a person can go, at least from the literature I've read. When I start talking about what I've experienced with the higher chakras, it can't help but come out like a blog, with the emotional and spiritual intertwined around the sexual. I can't do it third person, and lots of women can, and more power to them!
I mean I did sit next to Rachael Ray and talk about orgasms, but it was from a strictly physiological point of view. The higher chakra orgasms have added dimensions.
Wow - I stand corrected. So many authors - I guess the coverage is good. Ok Zane, I'm going to stop suggesting you do stuff - cause, it seems you're content in the work that you've done and you’re BLOG (thank you for being sooo responsive.) I forgot about the Rachael Ray deal.
I guess I was living vicariously through your orgasmic adventures, higher states of altered awareness and other juicy stuff. I think I just have orgasm on the brain...lol. I want to access the pleasure zone (Zane) as quickly as possible.
So far your book appears to be filled with solid material, but written with a light/expressive touch. Good stuff Zane. I'll be your biggest fan if I can get over the top and into the cool winds of super-o (or p-base orgasm.) The fish oil and chocolate might do the trick. I had a BLOG going on the Aneros site but stopped it because I was so frustrated and deeply dissatisfied with my progress. I actually think I might have been deficient in some chemical reaction/metabolism issues. It hasn't been until recently the men and hormonal problems have come into the spotlight. Low testostone was never anything I ever thought about until recently - so that whole issue has come into play. But generally, I would consider myself somewhat finely tuned or wired. I've been meditating for years, take vitamins, Yoga, go to the gym, no drugs, so on and so forth. In short, I’ve been in good shape for a few years, (well with the exception of a few pounds hear and there.) So not have spontaneous prostate orgasms has been challenging.

I've read most of your posts now over on the Aneros board. Very interesting. I wish more men would try it, I think they would then have more sympathy for women and our general lack of vaginal sensation. Just like the prostate, it takes women a long time to wake up their vaginas, and the right sort of openness to it. And most importantly, they need the right muscle tone, circulation, hormones, and especially dopamine (and moderate serotonin) to make it. I'm pretty sure it's the same with men. Give my diet a chance to work, and especially watch the dopamine/serotonin things. Take the fish oil, and if you are taking extra DHA take your daily amount a couple hours before a session. Avoid all caffeine on days with a session, and don't drink any energy drinks or herbal drinks.
You might also want to try a little damiana tea with a session, to get you to relax and open up.
Just finished your book. I thought it was a good read and filled with solid material. I'm using it as a reference for my own orgasmic journey. Also, when is the paperback due out? I have a couple of friends who I think might enjoy your work. Could be a nice stocking stuffer.
