Be careful mixing all those herbals, and for goodness sake talk to a real doctor about the injections!
I've got to say, men are crazy when it comes to sexual performance. It's like pulling teeth to get women to try my very healthy and effective diet, but men will try any crazy dangerous thing if they think it will improve their erections! How much fish oil are you taking? You might be able to cut out some of the redundant herbals (fish oil improves circulation). Also I've found horny goat weed works against the effect a bit, maybe less so in men. Wait, why on earth are you taking wild yam? That's a girl thing. Sexual pleasure is important for well-being, even without a partner. I'm on a path of tantric celibacy myself. If I were you I would get a Fleshlight. Is the hysterectomy recent? And did she keep her ovaries? If her ovaries were removed she might benefit from bioidentical hormone treatment. |

According to my reading, there is a whole cascade of hormones. DHEA, for instance, is produced from progesterone (wild yams). DHEA is raw material for testosterone, etc. . . The great thing about human gonadotropin is that it stimulates the production of testosterone in the testicles, thus no danger of atrophe. . . I just make sure I have plenty raw materials in my system. I am not worried about my regimen, because I've followed it for 3-4 years with no ill effects, but 100% better mental state. . . approx. (though not exactly the same all that time). Hope I didn't get any of the tech stuff wrong above. . . I do get blood tests via the Life Extension Foundation to monitor hormone levels and prostate. My T went from near bottom of range to middle on a 300-900 scale. With actual T injections I sometimes got up to 2000 (what body builders do routinely). . . quite a rush, but maybe dangerous.
Why do you emphasize avoiding caffeine? I am a real addict, I guess. So is my wife. She wouldn't consider your diet because of that (also general stubborness and depression due to multiple health problems). She was pretty orgasmic anyway. . . Since her hyterectomy (a lot more could be said about that) she just doesn't have the drive to bother most of the time. Also, the way our relationship worked, she was the one who always decided "when". . . now, the "when" is almost always too much bother. Sex used to be all about "proving myself". . . now, I don't care at all about that. So, masturbation now and then is good enough. I notice a lot more subtle invitations from women now. . . but, my life is complicated enough! Lloyd Baker |

Note that I do not take anything to directly stimulate erections, like that (what is its name herb that is in so many supplements?) though I have tried them. Also Viagra and Cialis are fun, but I don't find them necessary.

Just so that you are aware, here is some negative information on HGH.
http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/hgh.html I have an open mind, but that stuff seems too extreme to me. DHEA on the other hand, why not? At least for men. Women need blood monitoring when taking it. You are thinking of yohimbe, very wise to avoid. So how much fish oil, how much EPA and DHA are you taking a day? And did your wife have her ovaries removed? The reason for caffeine is that it spikes serotonin, drowning out the improved dopamine. The goal of my diet is to keep serotonin at a moderate steady level and dopamine very high. Some people who are on antidepressants or big caffeine drinkers can get similar effects by using dopamine agonists like bromocriptine or cabergoline, but I think that's playing with fire. The body adapts and needs more. A Fleshlight is a male sex toy that feels extremely similar to a woman's vagina, when heated up and lubed. I think you would appreciate the Speed Bump version. Try it and let me know what you think. |

Oh, no. I'm using human gonadotropin, not human growth hormone. Though I would take the growth hormone if I could afford it. As long as levels abnormal for young adults are not exceeded, I don't think the risk would be great. (Levels naturally decline with age.) Also, the article slams Sandy and Durke Pearson for "not having any evidence." Not true! Though they didn't have any large sample statistical studies (how could they, it was new idea); they had many laboratory experiments and clinical trials that pointed in that the sought direction. They did huge scientific literature searches to back-up their ideas. They were always careful to label their approach experimental. I take 4 grams of Arginine and Ornithine at bedtime and have been for about 20 years or so. . . people say I look young for 60, but maybe that's just because I didn't sexually mature until I was 25! Human gonadotropin, on the contrary, signals the testicles to make testosterone.
Yes, Yohimbe seems to act directly through the central nervous system. . . I feel slightly "edgy" taking it, like ritlin or speed.
I take 2 capsules in AM and 2 in PM. 2 is the serving size for the Walgreens brand I use. I watch until I can get 2 bottles for one.
Yes, she did. We were very frightened by terrible swelling and pain in her legs that the MDs attributed to fibroid tumors in the womb. She got several opinions. However, the improvement with the hysterectomy was not all that complete. Now an old lower back spinal injury is kicking-up with similar symptoms though not as severe and, though she doesn't want to hear it, I think interference of nerve paths to the legs at the spine may have been the problem all along, though admittedly, the hysterctomy did help with the symptoms. She now needs to have bone spurs and disk bulges removed in surgery to relieve pressure on nerves which show on the MRI. Hmmm!?
Hmmmm! I tried a dopamine agonist with my 1st internet MD. I didn't see much difference; he claimed improved male sexual endurance. He is now in jail for yeilding to the temptation to subscribe narcotics by the truck load! His testosterone prescriptions to me were legal, but the investigators called me anyway! NO FUN! Maybe I'm a seratonin addict!
Oh, ok. . . maybe I will. Lloyd Baker |

Thank you for that correction; I always like to learn. Don't know why I thought they were the same, but definitely out of my bailiwick.
What is in my bailiwick is fish oil. You are not on my diet at all. I'm taking fifteen times the amount you are. I'm not supposed to post the details of my diet online here according to my editor, but here's a small part. Get this stuff, take as directed and take a good multivitamin too, with plenty of antioxidants. http://www.zonelabsinc.com Don't take fish oil like this if you are on a blood-thinning medication like Coumadin or aspirin therapy, take lots of over-the-counter pain relievers, are scheduled for surgery, are allergic to seafood or have a defibrillator. Also take ZMA. My point about her ovaries is that they make testosterone. A woman losing her ovaries is like a man being castrated, with much the same effect on libido. She should consider bioidentical hormone treatment (including testosterone) under a doctor's supervision. |

I wonder about the ginko I am taking. The Life Extension Foundation recommends it instead of asprin for us old guys, to keep the blood flowing. . . Think ginko is a thinner. I know that every time I get blood drawn, the nurse asks me if I'm on a blood thinner as the vial fills very rapidly. . .
What is ZMA? Seems I used to know.
Yes, we were looking into that when her spinal condition got bad. She won't be able to think about anything but her surgury until that is over. . . Very traumatic. She had it 20 years ago or more. Techniques are better now, though. Her doctor told her there is now a patch or something with both bioidentical estrogen and testosterone in the right balance. Of course, I could get her the injectables over the internet, but she's not nuts like me! Lloyd Baker |

Then cut out the gingko if you take the high-dose fish oil.
Personally I think the best type of bioidentical treatment is to cycle it. Women's bodies are made to handle cycling hormones. Perhaps you could get her this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1400081572/sr=8-1/qid=...1639-2547229?ie=UTF8 With no ovaries she might find she feels much better all around, including libido, on hormone replacement therapy. |

Good idea! I'll have it on hand when for her when her surgery is over. . . maybe it will be something for her to look forward to. . . Lloyd Baker |

By the way, your diet activities ARE IN THE TRADITION of Sandy and Durke Pearson. I dislike the over-statement and accusatory tone that so often characterizes "quack reports". After all, aging is not well understood at all and there is plenty of reason to search the literature and come-up with speculative theories about how the effects of aging might be minimized or even reversed. Notice how the "quack reports" was so certain there was "side effects" from HGH, but dismissed the tons of reports of benefits? Of course, on the other hand, there ARE excesses in marketing claims for bio-identical HGH. But, the bottom line is that the DRUG COMPANIES can't patent bio-identicals so they do all they can to shoot them down and PUSH patented junk instead.

By the way, there is now some dispute as to the importance of "free" testosterone. There is theory, more common in Europe, that aromatization to estrogen is the real problem. High testosterone males, when they get old, fat and lazy, get high in estrogen due aromatization and that may be what causes prostate cancer. Bound testosterone may be a false correlation, because high testosterone men are high in that too. Some studies seem to show that bound testosterone is SAFE testosterone because it cannot aromatize to estrogen and the testosterone can still be utilized. I am not sure what to think. However, estrogen is DEFINITELY a co-factor for cancer in many contexts.
