Hi Marrena,

I was wondering if you are aware of any bad or dangerous health implications of having your body primed for too many orgasms or for consistently having too many orgasms? Surely with all of your abilities you have wondered this yourself? I worry a bit because I notice that the more I have orgasms and have my body primed with the fish oil, etc the more I seem to get a nervous 'tic'. This tic is kind of like a mild, quick, pre-orgasm going through my body like it wants to orgasm. Also you always hear of people curling their toes during orgasm...I've noticed in particular my left foot really, really tries to curl toes to the point of holding them a long time and close to giving me a bad cramp. The right foot seems less interested. Reading on the net, I learn that orgasm (particularly for women) takes place in the right brain, and frontal lobe. Knowing that right brain controls the left side of the body, I wonder if this is why the left foot really reacts more? Right now as I type this my left foot keeps 'ticking' every minute or so...the toes want to curl. Yes, I am very primed right now....

I looked around on the net for dangers related to too many orgasms. There are women with a 'brain disorder' that have them constantly throughout the day and are unable to control them. They don't state a particular issue really that I recall. I keep thinking too much orgasms could lead to Parkinson's, or Multiple Sclerosis, or Epilepsy but I see no real links. I would think the brain draining Dha and dopamine regularly could have an effect not so good, but then we quickly recharge with the diet. Some studies to discuss epilepsy and orgasm... apparently some people have an orgasm when an epileptic seizure is coming on. Some like them so much they don't want to take any anti-epilepsy meds.

Other than the 'tics' the only thing I've noticed after a long session is really being fatigued, and my interest for sex, or doing just about any activity is reduced. My orgasmic sessions can sometimes be hours long, and typically I am in a constant orgasmic state / orgasm of varying levels of intensity.

On another note...I read that sex, orgasms, and dopamine are related to addictions such as drug abuse, and gambling. In other words some of the mechanisms of operation in the brain may be similar pathways to cocaine, or heroine addiction. People with high levels of dopamine will have a tendency to be more likely to gamble or engage in illicit sex. At least that is what I read as I recall in summary. I do notice that I have a tendency to look forward to my orgasmic sessions and will even at times skip other activities in order to have them. Perhaps I am already addicted to sex and orgasms.

Thoughts?

I will let others debate the moral or ethical or health benefits of being extremely orgasmic. I do take issue with women like me being said to have a "brain disorder." The way I am is not a disease state, I believe it is a natural healthy state.

Whether there are hidden health ramifications simply to having lots of orgasms every day, I don't know. I doubt it. As for time spent, I think it's a better use of time. It used to take me forty minutes to have one orgasm, now I can have dozens in half the time.

If a person is feeling that their orgasms are taking over their life and is disturbed, easy enough to alter the diet. Fish oil is not addictive--reduce the dosage and libido will decrease.

I wasn't intending to infer women like yourself. In my research (web searches)regarding problems, difficulties, dangers of too many orgasms I came across something known as PSAS or Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome. Examples:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistent_sexual_arousal_syndrome
http://www.mymultiplesclerosis.co.uk/misc/orgasms.html
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/WaterCooler/story?id=3676562&page=1

In PSAS it describes a problem state for women where they have no control over their orgasms. It was my impression you did have control over yours - so I made no association.

I intended this to be a legitimate, serious question, as it is something I wonder about and am worried about to some degree. I do enjoy all the orgasms, and probably there is no harm, but I thought it was a sober enough topic to consider as we all become highly orgasmic.

Obviously based on your response you have no interest in this topic. I will move on.

Men have made me spontaneously orgasm when I wasn't intending to orgasm. There isn't much difference between me and women with PSAS except my attitude about it.

I have worked with doctors to develop techniques to stop PSAS, and have worked directly with women.

I try to stay away from philosophical considerations and focus on what I know, the physical. As far as I can tell, even women with PSAS don't suffer any physical harm at all from their condition.

You may want to ask over at the Aneros board, there are men there who have been very orgasmic for years, they can tell you about any potential ill effects on the male body.

I have been on the recommended high dose of fish oil for about a year and have posted here and on Aneros about the numerous benefits I have gained, including expanded multi-orgasmic capacity. The only potential negative (and in some ways it is a positive!) is that about 2 hours before I would normally get up I am awakened by multiple orgasms which may go on for as long as an hour before I can get back to sleep. It doesn't seem to have harmed me. I awaken feeling great and am alert until bedtime. The 5:00 AM effect is probably due to the normal testosterone rise which occurs at about that time. I recently went to Europe, and the first 2 days before I began to adjust to jet lag was having spontaneous orgasms in the middle of the afternoon on the streets of Paris.
