I assume by total hysterectomy you mean her ovaries were removed? That's hard, because women really do need testosterone for libido and sexual function. Her adrenal glands are still making T, but of course there is a lack.
Where my diet falls down is with women with low total T. It works great with testosterone replacement therapy.
My diet will help somewhat. The goal is high free T. If she gets her sex-hormone-binding globulin down low enough, she will be able to feel the T that she has. So definitely the zinc and watching the carb intake, and make sure she has enough good fat in her diet--fat helps with T production--saturated and monounsaturated fat.
Has she considered DHEA? That's over-the-counter, although should not be taken by women except under supervision from a doctor monitoring testosterone blood levels (don't want the T to get too high).
Or by health issues is there a danger for her simply having healthy T levels? Of course in that case the best she can do is to work on neurotransmitters and circulation and avoid the hormonal issues. Fish oil most definitely.

I just had my annual blood work done and i tried to find if they tested my testosterone level. is that done by blood test, and, if so, what would be the symbol on the report? i didn't see the word "testosterone" on the report.
