i heard about the diet from a friend who it has worked wonders for but... i had a mitral valve replacement 6 months ago & am on coumadin. i know vitamin k interferes w/coumdain, but wasn't sure about any of the other vitamins included in the diet. i was aondering if anyone out there has this same dilema w/the coumdain/diet mixture, and what their results have been... i have always had a low sex drive, and before & after my heart surgery the dr put me on an anti-depressant that made it even lower.. so i'm looking for a bosst for sure. i am also newly married, so it would be very helpful. Thanks!!!
The diet won't work for you. The main part of it is the fish oil. The problem with coumadin and fish oil together is they both work the same.
You might be able to do it if you find a VERY good nutritionist and/or your doctor is open to alternative medicine and figures out the correct dosage for both things. I assume over time with extremely careful monitoring that you might gradually be able to substitute the fish oil for the coumadin, but this should ONLY be done under a doctor's supervision with frequent testing.
