Hi, Marrena. I recently bought your book and just started taking the supplements yesterday. I would like to take a minute to thank you for writing the book. My husband would love it if we had sex all the time, and he is always telling me how wonderful I am and how he dreams and daydreams about me. But I am hardly ever in the mood. This has been kind of hard on our relationship, but I do love him so much. So, I really hope this diet works for me.
Onto my question... I'm not sure what kinds of food to be eating. You say that the diet should consist of 40% carbs, but what kind of carbs should I be eating? I know fruit and veggies, of course. Minus potatoes. And I should cut out breads, bagels, and pasta. But what about whole wheat foods? I love whole wheat bread, wheat bagels, and would consider switching from regular pasta to whole wheat pasta. So, is whole wheat just fine to be eating to get my 40% of carbs? And do you have any other suggestion of good carbs for me to eat?
No need to be drastic about cutting out "bad" carbs. Just eat them in balance, try to eat more fruit and veggie carbs by volume at a meal than the starchy carbs. Don't stress too much about the food part of the diet, the balance and types of fats you eat are the most important thing.
