How important is the dark chocolate in the diet? Since losing 25lbs, I find it easier to just avoid "treats" like this rather than have a small amount every day. If vital to the diet, I will figure out a strategy to not have more than an ounce, but would like to know exactly how important it is to have the chocolate every day. (By the way, I really like the 85% cacao Lindt bar!) Thanks.
If you want the chocolate but worry about overindulgence, unsweetened chocolate like bakers' chocolate is very effective. That said, it's also fine to skip the chocolate. It adds a little extra, but it's not a requirement.
