Zaneblue,
I need your help. Your diet worked for me and now doesn’t work for me. Any ideas you have as to why would be greatly appreciated. Maybe feedback you have received from other women or your research will let you see something that I am missing. Here is what I’ve tried: Day 1-4: Fish oil only: Purity Products brand, qty 3 @ 325 epa/ 250 dha each for a total of 975/750. (I weight about 130 lbs). Day 3 noticed chapped lips. Day 4, itching on left side of breast and mood very positive. Day 5: Erotic dream. More lubrication during sex. Added calcium, mag., zinc and chocolate to diet. Began eating protein with every meal. Already drinking 64 oz water daily. Day 6: More pelvic sensation during sex, vaginal orgasm elusive, clitoral orgasm after effort. Dry skin on hands. Mood and energy elevated during a.m. Day 7: Mood and energy down. Very likely cyclic. Day 8-12: Migraine, menstrual period. Following eleven days: AMAZING! Increased arousal and desire, better sex, happy mood. Started using Gyneflex toward end of this time period. Day 24: Ran out of fish oil, skin sensation flipped like a switch, irritable to comments and touch. Day 25-27: Mood is dropping quickly, grouchy, unhappy. Desire is once again non-existent . Day 28: Omega RX fish oil arrives. Take 2 capsules (400 epa/200 dha total). Experience extreme flushing of face and neck. Terrible nightmare, violent and gory. Day 29-30: Taking 3 fish oil daily = 600 epa/300 dha. Mood is very, very depressed. Day 31: Increased to 4 Omega RX + 1 Carlsons daily = 900 dha/900 epa Day 38: Mood improved. Desire and energy still gone. Day 40: Increased fish oil to 1100 epa/1000 dha. Day 50: Increased fish oil to 1300 epa/1100 dha. Day 52: Changed fish oil to 1400 epa/700 dha. Day 60: Switched back to Purity Products 975 epa/750 dha. One month later, I have just recently upped the fish oil to 1625/1250 but I am not seeing any results yet. You may be wondering why I didn’t take the higher dose to start with. Actually I thought I was because of the amounts shown on the front of the bottle. When I realized that I hadn’t been, the diet was already working fantastic for me: smells, sounds, touch all pleasurable, oily facial skin and hair, bright eyes, glowing complexion, awareness of lips, breasts, desire and arousal off the charts! So I thought if it had worked so well at that amount before, then it should work at that amount again. But as you can see, it doesn’t seem to work at any amount now. I have tried to analyze what I might be doing differently. I was exercising then and had stopped, so I added that back in. Thought maybe the building of lean muscle would help. Something else I have noticed over the last 2 months, is a burning sensation on the bottoms of my feet when I lay down. Has anyone else who tried your diet ever reported this? Thank you for writing your book and for being brave enough to share this information with others. I know your diet works because it worked for me, I just have to figure out how to get it to work again. Oh, by the way, no relationship or emotional problems in the way. Husband of many years is very patient, understanding, open and willing to help me work this out. Sex was great in our early years, and good until birth of second child (son). Which makes me think it is a testosterone, dopamine, serotonin level problem and if I could just get those all at the right level again, with your diet, then it would be great again. Sorry this is so lengthy but I wanted you to have all the information so you can give me your input without having to question possible causes because I left something out. Thanks!!! |

Forgot to add that I am taking the multi-vitamin as well.

That's odd. Usually women who respond continue to respond--if anything the response increases over time, particularly if they are doing the PC muscle exercises.
I occasionally get a two-week period or so where my libido vanishes and I can't figure out why, but then I come down with a cold or something. It's gotten to the point where I start taking Cold Eeze if my libido goes away for more than three days because I know my body is fighting something. It could be something like that. Anyhow, stick with it for a while and see what happens. |

Marrena, Thank you so much for your quick reply. I will try some Cold-Eeze and see if it makes any difference. Your comments caused me to check the ingredients in Cold-Eeze and I remembered that I ran out of my original bottle of Calcium so I purchased a bottle with Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc all together. I just checked the labels and the Zinc I was taking, when the diet worked, was Chelated zinc (as zinc gluconate). What I am taking now, just says zinc. Could it be that I am not absorbing the zinc? Could it possibly be as simple as just taking zinc in a different form? Oh, I hope so! I am switching back to the chelated zinc gluconate. I will keep you posted if there is any change.
THANK YOU! |

No, I wasn't saying to take Cold-Eeze in addition! I was just saying that if my body is under the weather fighting a cold or flu that even my libido can go away (which is saying something!)
Just give it a little time. Can't hurt to go back to the other type of zinc you were taking. |

No results from switching back to the chelated zinc. I also realized that I had switched from Calcium Citrate to Calcium Carbonate so I have switched back on that just recently.
My question for you: My multi-vitamin has 18 mg of Iron. Is that enough or should I supplement with 15 to 20 mg? I am of menstruating age. |

That's enough iron.
I don't know what to tell you, except generally women who do respond initially will continue to respond. I don't know why it stopped for you, but I'm awfully curious to know why. |

My multivitamin contains 18mg of iron, but I have also been taking an 18mg iron pill 3 days a week, as per your recommendation in the book. Should I cut out the iron pills, then?

I was assuming she didn't need to supplement with iron because she had such a strong initial response without it. Some women do fine without the extra iron, although generally I've found women do benefit from it.
If you are having a good response, you can test and see whether you can go without the extra iron by taking a break from it and seeing if your libido diminishes over time. |
