I've been taking the fish oil (1600 mg of the epa/dha and 1 Carlson' Super DHA) now for well over a month and still have not noticed any improvement Frowner
however, i'm been reading up on the benefits of fish oil & plan to continue taking it and following Orgasmic Diet. i haven't tried the gyneflex yet.. maybe i need to do that???
i'm thinking of trying out the ArginMax pill to see if that in combination with Orgasmic Diet plan will do anything.
is there any reason I should't take the ArginMax with the fish oil???
thanks!

No, the gyneflex helps with orgasmic response and helps to develop vaginal orgasms. It will not improve libido.

Early on I tried Arginmax for Women. I went off my diet and tried that instead, to compare, and my libido and performance dropped drastically. I know it has passed a double-blind study. (I'm hoping to get a double-blind study going on mine).

I would be a little worried about combining the two. Fish oil increases nitric oxide and so does l-arginine (and so does Viagra). I'm worried about the two interacting. Also ArginMax for women has similar minerals to what I recommend on my diet, like iron. So I wouldn't mix the two.

I'm always very curious to know more about non-responders. About one in four women don't see increased libido. Some of that can be attributed to low total testosterone and of course there are the traditional things that are considered with female libido--relationship issues, communication, religious upbringing, etc.

But in general, women who have been on the full dose of the fish oil and the rest of the diet for a month should see a dramatic uptick in sexual thoughts, sexual interest and sexual dreams, and when they do have sex their bodies should respond noticeably quicker. At least some libido change should show up in that first month.

If I could know a little more about your situation, I could give better advice.

Well, my thinking on the gyneflex is that if I started having vaginal orgasms, that would certainly pique my interest in sex? Right now it's strictly clitoral orgasms and that's with focused masturbation!!
I went to order the gyneflex and confused as to what strength to get. I am in early 40's and have had 2 c-sections. any advice on what strength to get??
I'm wondering if my testosterone levels are low since I am not responding to this??? I've read that testosterone therapy is a bit "iffy" ont he safe side.. so I tend to not even want to investigate that.
I'm a happily married woman (10 years) with two young children. I love my life & husband.. but perhaps the flame has gone out a bit???
I also am iron deficient -- I just read a thread on that. A few years ago I was "severely anemic" (due to heavy menstrual periods) and take high-dose iron supplemnts. my iron goes up and then i stop taking it and goes. Admittedly, I have not been taking my iron lately... maybe that has something to do with it????
thanks for your help!

Do you have my book? Iron is a part of my diet! Smiler That will absolutely have an impact; that's why I include it.

You should get the middle set, the pink set of the Gyneflex.

I'm not sure if you will gain vaginal orgasmic ability if you haven't seen an increase in libido on the fish oil. Are you also taking the calcium/magnesium/zinc? It might be an issue with high SHBG

I don't have your book. I saw you on Rachel Ray, did some googling & saw a quote from you that the main thing is the fish oil & vitamins. so i thought i'd give that a try before diving into the book to see if it would work. i am taking calcium/mag/zinc (1,000mg/500 mg./15 mg.)

what does SHBG mean???? i am going to get my yearly blood work done next week. does blood work-ups usually contain testosterone levels?? is there anything in particular i should look for in my blood test results that would give me insight??
i just started taking my iron again last week...so maybe I should wait another month of iron supplment & fish oil to see if that does anything? maybe it's been the iron all along??

Part of the reason that I wrote the book is that I've been telling women about this now for about five years, and I get sort of tired about writing the same things over and over.

So the things like what is SHBG and what to look for in blood test results--those are in the book.

I will say that for in your particular case, the diet won't work if a woman is low in iron. Now most women can get away with not taking the iron and still get some results. But if a woman is very low on iron, then yes, it will impact.

I don't want you to waste money on fish oil, why not take a break from the diet until your iron is where it should be and then try again?

It is true that the main mechanism of the diet is the fish oil, but the other parts do have an effect too, on some women. That's why I wrote the book--women are complicated. Smiler

Also I'd feel better about you reading the book because the fish oil dosage is by weight, you might need a higher dosage, and also there can be drug interactions, etc. that I warn about in the book.

yes, i agree.... it is time for me to get the book!!! i am going to Amazon when i am done with this reply!!!
the expense of the fish oil is not an issue for me. so, for health purposes, would it not benefit me to continue taking my Omega and Carlson' Super DHA just because fish oil is good for me??? i'm in the habit of now so why not continue, as i get my iron levels back to where they should be???
thanks again for your help... i look forward to diving into the book now!!!

Oh, yes of course you can continue with the fish oil while your iron gets up to speed.

I do want to stress that I'm not saying that iron is pro-sexual. Women just need a normal healthy level of iron, and of course women with hemochromatosis should never take iron.

Also iron supplementation is only for women who are able to menstruate. Post-menopausal women and men who try the diet should not take iron supplements.

I am very interested to know how it turns out--please keep me posted on your progress! And thank you for buying my book, I appreciate it.
