In terms of calories, the fish oil adds a negligible amount, if it's ultra-refined as I recommend. Most women can get their daily dose with a teaspoon of fish oil, that's only 40 calories. It's not going to change anyone's weight.
However, I have heard anecdotal evidence that fish oil consumption encourages any fat from overeating to go to the hips and thighs instead of the belly.
I was going to ask about this...I'm trying to lose weight,which has always been easy for me and wondered if the problem was all the fish oil. Does the bottle need to say refined? How do you know?
