Oy. Your insurance will pay for Wellbutrin to treat FSD but not T! Roll Eyes

If fish oil isn't working for you, I doubt Wellbutrin will. Both raise dopamine, and of course fish oil is much healthier. You have somewhat low free T.

But if you do try the Wellbutrin, please let me know how it goes. I'm always interested in seeing how my diet does compared to pharmaceuticals.

I think the doctor had to say the Wellbutrin was for depression or something. You know women's sexual dysfunction is not as important as men's!

So if I take Wellbutrin, then stop fish oil? Will it make my blood too thin if I take both? I'm just wondering if I'm even metabolizing the fish oil since my skin is unchanged, as is my libido.

I'd rather take fish oil for all its other great properties, but can't figure out if my body is rejecting it or what. even my cholesterol is a little high.

As far as I know, you can take Wellbutrin and fish oil together. They both raise dopamine, so you might need less Wellbutrin than you usually would. But check with your doctor!

Your skin would be unchanged with the hormone problems too, as getting teenager skin also requires teenager hormones.

Doh! OK, I will keep you posted. I'm not giving up!

Maybe you should put a sticky at the beginning of the section with a link to your book, explaining that you want them to read it first, and THEN ask questions. We are all tired of hearing the dosage questions again and again.

Thanks Marrena!

Girasole9 regarding the T-cream... Do you have a 'The Medicine Shoppe' in your area? I was on T-cream myself (didn't do much for me, though, except it caused a few hairs to grow on my chest, neck, and more on my chin.) and they compounded it for me. I don't recall the cost of it as that was 4 years ago, but maybe they can work with you regarding price?

You mentioned feeling 'stone cold' and I'm realizing that is what I'm feeling also. And I fully agree- after the effects I did have feeling this way really does cause me to feel much less like a woman. My sympathies for you.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks for your support. The compounding The pharmacist actually had a 1-hour consultation with me. She talked to me about protecting my adrenals and ways to get more sleep. I just want to find a way to get cheaper T. It's going to cost around $75 for the progesterone and testosterone. (P is for the sleep disturbances, I guess that's low too.) And insurance won't pay, isn't that sweet?

Cold as a STONE. Pharma Doctor said that my total T is really low. Even at the halfway mark she would recommend the cream, and I'm like at the quarter mark of what I should have.

Let's hope it helps!

It moved!

Hey, after 2 weeks of 1 mg of T cream nightly, I actually felt a slight interest during ovulation— Too bad I had a 104 temp and a bad case of the flu!!!

The feeling has pretty much diminished now, so I guess I'll have to wait for another cycle to see if it works! Just my luck.

Huntng, Thanks for the info on the Medicine Shoppe, I'm waiting to hear from them.

I have been taking Wellbutrin for the dopamine boost and to quit smoking, which I am now on day 5 (hooray!). I have not been taking the fish oil, do you think I should? can you get addicted to this stuff?

Addicted? No. Your body needs omega-3 fatty acids, so you will feel less healthy if you aren't taking them, just like you will feel less healthy if you don't get the vitamins and minerals your body needs, but we don't say people are addicted to vitamins.

You can stay at the same dosage and continue to get the same effect, year after year. If anything, the effect improves over time rather than decreases.

On the other hand, you may find yourself feeling like you are getting "addicted" to sexual pleasure. But that's sort of the goal of all of this. If it becomes a problem, you can cut back on the fish oil, etc. and the "addiction" will go away.

I do recommend you take the fish oil, in addition to the Wellbutrin. It doesn't sound like the Wellbutrin is working all that well on its own for you, sexually speaking.

LIBIDO UPDATE:

It has been three months since I started the t-cream, progesterone and wellbutrin, along with the orgasmic diet, of course. The results are in. Drumroll please...

We have LIBIDO!

Yes, it has worked. I actually want to have sex again. In fact, I like it more now than I ever recall before. I take a very tiny amount of the above drugs, and in combo with the Orgasmic Diet, I am a REAL woman again.

If the diet hasn't helped you, I urge you to go see a specialist. It won't be easy to find one, but it will be worth it. It hasn't cost me all that much money, not for the return. This is better than ANY vacation, and I loooove to travel.

In Phila/NJ/DE area, find Dr. Kellogg-Spadt at the Pelvic Health Institute.

Good luck to you all. Thank you Mirena! Your book was a guiding light, I wish you continued success!

Girasole9,

That is fantastic news. I also finally found success by using a combination of the Orgasmic diet along with T-cream and Progesterone cream. Still no vaginal O's but thrilled to be wanting sex and to be having any O's at all. Curious what dosage you are in the t-cream?

I alsmost gave up on the testosterone until she switched me from the 2.5 mg sublingual tablets to a higher dosage of the t-cream. I noticed an improvement in just 2 weeks and have had continued sensation. Have you noticed any side affects? Dr's have made us paranoid/almost appologetic about taking it so I still have some concerns. I think I may have noticed a slightly larger clitoris but then wonder if it just looks larger because it is aroused and I am actually feeling/noticing it!

Please continue to give us updates. We all celebrate each others successes. It gives each of us encouragement to continue to try/fight for our libido! We are worth it.

Thank you for all the detailed feedback, everyone. I'm so glad that my book helped persuade women who have low T to try testosterone replacement therapy.

The one thing I do worry about with TRT, women's SHBG tends to rise with TRT, so initial results are good but then evaporate. That's where my diet comes in, it helps keep SHBG low.

Always make sure to have bloodwork done when on TRT.

I am so pleased for you all!
