I realized that in my ratio of Omega 3 the DHA wasn't quite enough, so took another 600mg of DHA during the day and again before bed a couple of days ago. When I woke up the next morning I felt all warm, fuzzy and happy... and while I wasn't feeling particularly lustful, I was definitely much more interested in getting up close and personal with my husband than usual. Usually in the morning I have no interest at all. He was thrilled... :-)

I realise it's going to take a bit of experimentation to get the perfect balance of EPA and DHA for my size and particular metabolism and other health issues. However, personally it really helps to have some kind of response - even if it isn't quite what I was expecting..

I was definitely feeling more lustful a couple of weeks ago and now I'm just so frustrated that it's gone away again... So I'll be experimenting with the ratio to try to get the best balance for the best response.

My body is a chemistry set :-) (doctor's and nurses anybody??)

You are perfectly normal. Women are cyclical--we are lunar creatures. Even I have two days out of my cycle where I have very low libido (for me), right after I ovulate.

The DHA really is critical and does tend to have a short-term effect, within twelve hours. If you want to truly experiment, skip the extra DHA one day and then take double the extra dose the next day all at once two hours before you are planning on having sex (take the rest of the fish oil--the EPA etc., in the morning so it's not too hard on your digestion).
