For those of us who are vegetarian, flaxseed oil actually contains higher Omega 3's, less expensive, and very tasty. It has a light, buttery taste and is particularly good on steamed vegetables. We can add it to our diet in ground flaxseed as well. Additionally, a vegetarian diet will keep you in all round better health and appearance, which will definitely improve libido.
You are wrong about all of those things. Flaxseed oil contains ALA. It's DHA and EPA that are the pro-sexual omega-3 fatty acids, and the conversion rate of ALA to those is something like 60 to 1. You would have to drink like a gallon of flaxseed oil to get the same effect.
Vegetarians tend to eat a lot of soy products and not get enough protein or iron, all of which are bad for libido.
The type of libido that comes from appearance is not the type I am talking about in my book. There are plenty of diet books out there and books on looking sexier. My book is entirely about physiology, what happens inside.
That said, many women on my diet lose weight and feel more energetic, in fact some women chalk up the effect to that. But my diet alters a woman's neurochemistry, hormonal levels and circulation to bring her to optimal sexual function.
So what do you recommend for vegetarians? I have spoken with Dr.s, been put on viagra and supplements, I tried Arginmax, I take iron and I have to stay on birth control to control cysts. Am I just out of luck?
