Marrena, I got the impression that you are not an overly big fan of semen retention, why is that?

I am a fan of semen retention as long as it's done in a moderate way. Part of me wishes I could wave my magic wand and have a husband whom I loved wanting and able to have sex with me six times a day! I'm not complaining, my life is good, and I'm very happy for your wife.

In my opinion the best male sexual practice, from a selfish point of view, would be a man who never masturbates to ejaculation, only ejaculates during sex, and ejaculates frequently enough to keep me happy. It's not that I'm not a big fan of semen retention, it's that I'm a big fan of semen! Also I don't think it's healthy for a man under 35 to go more than a week without ejaculating, or for any man to go more than two weeks (unless he is very elderly).

Marrena-
I could go into greater detail and develop the topic in a way that might show you other benefits, but I don't want to take your forum of topic, which is after all about your diet. Also I am conscious that some of your readers might find the discussion over spiced! Though having read some of your posts in *other* places, I doubt much could phase you. In fact you have had my pulse up one more than one occasion. Please advise.

Why not down in the Other Sex Tips section? I'm happy to talk about retention.

Although I am trying to avoid getting too dirty here; I don't want to make my female readers uncomfortable.

Question for you- I thought this 'diet' was supposed to help with cramps and such??

I woke up early this morning with a mild fever, a migraine over my left eye, and my period. And killer cramps, to boot! <moan>

I feel better now, the migraine wore off around noonish, and the fever dissipated within an hour or so of waking, but the cramps are still around, though not as bad. And I'm feeling wiped out, which is normal for me.

Actually, the cramps are too, but not the migraine or fever.

On the other hand, right up until this morning I was still interested in making love with him which is HIGHLY unusual for me. I'm usually 'dead' in that area for the week preceeding, and a few days after my period, so I am encouraged yet again that this diet is working for me!

And I wanted to ask you about this too... In another post you asked someone if she could "smell her boyfriend". I know how important scent is for women- I've read about the tests done using male sweat that's been de-scented and how it lowers the stress levels in the women that sniff it, among other things.

My question is: My man uses one of those natural salt deodorants and has for the past 2 years or so. Does that decrease his pheramones? (I know that isn't spelled right, sorry)

He doesn't want to use a typical deod. because of the chemicals in them, which is why he stopped in the first place. I talked to him about it and he is a bit leery about stopping the salt stick and not using anything at all- he doesn't want to smell funky.

I wonder if that had something to do with why my libido & desire disappeared.

The fever and migraine are really odd! That's a first, and the fish oil should definitely help with cramps!

Please let me know if that happens to you next month. I'm assuming it's a fluke.

However, if you weren't used to eating chocolate, I've heard women can sometimes get migraines from eating chocolate.

A natural deoderant like that is better than a chemical one for pheromones. To increase pheromones, have him work up a sweat doing aerobic exercise with no shirt (and no deoderant), and then have sex right afterwards without him showering.

I agree with him that using that salt stick is fine for every day. It shouldn't interfere too much with the daily pheromones that will keep you interested. It of course helps if you sleep together naked.

Well, I've eaten more chocolate this past month than I have in years! I used to have occasional stress related migraines when I was a teenager; this is the first one in over 20 years, so I have to wonder if it's due to the chocolate, or the stress level I'm currently at.

As an aside the migraines weren't the 'in the dark, no light whatsoever' type, and this one wasn't either. It felt very much like someone had stabbed me in the forehead over my left eye and left the knife there for a few hours. Not pleasant, but I worked around it. Had to, I had an interview today.

I'm hoping this is an abberation also. Along with the night time chills which, now that I think on it, hasn't occurred these past few nights.

So. Maybe I'm coming down with a bug. <sigh>

Thanks for the info on the salt stick; I really thought it was blocking his pheromones because his shirts don't have the same effect on me that they used to. Namely, get me aroused a bit. Now? Eh.

Although he did stop going to the gym about 2 years ago because he had a bad case of pneumonia and was sick for so long afterwards. And by the time he was healthy enough to get back into it, he was out of the habit.

He is in the process of joining a local gym and will start working out again as he had previously- 3 times weekly.

And as for me, I'm thinking it's time I get back into it, too! Not only to get back in better shape (I'm not too bad) but to build muscle and gain more free T.

Hey, summer is just around the corner, right? Bikini weather! Smiler

Sounds like the flu to me. I had a bad headache and body aches, fever and chills. Everyone I know either has it or had it in the last month.

Hi Girasole! How are things with you? Did you find a place to get the T-cream without it costing too much?

I'm not sure it was the flu; if so it was an extremely mild version of it because, other than these dratted cramps & tiredness, I seem to be doing well. <shrug>

Philly and York aren't too far apart, though, so it's possible I did get something like that. Hope you don't get it!

Marky777- I have not forgotten our discussion. I'm still trying to remember where I saw/read that information!

It may have been the aneros site, but I'm not sure. <sigh>

I'll keep racking my brains in the meantime.

It's been 12 days since I began taking the extra iron, 25mg every other day, and I think I have noticed a difference in myself. I'm truly unsure if it is due to the extra iron or just the fact that I've been on a full dosage of FO for a week longer than that; something to think about further.

I was feeling pretty good: My spirit is on the rise as the depression ebbs; self-confidence is growing again and is getting close to where it was before all this stress knocked me down; and I was feeling a low-level arousal nearly all the time.

Why am I using 'was'? Mainly because Auntie Flo arrived in town and she wasn't very nice to me. Frowner I had my usual cramps accompanied oddly enough by a mild migraine & fever. I don't think this had anything to do with the diet, rather I believe I had some sort of bug- a mild version of the flu, possibly.

The upside is that while I did have my period I was also feeling a slight arousal during the first 2 days and that is not typical for me. Nothing I wanted to act upon, but it was there nonetheless.

The last 3 days I haven't felt anything- no arousal, no tingles, nothing- and, because I was a touch concerned (alright! More than a 'touch'!) I checked in with Marrena about it. She let me know this is typical and you know what?!?

She's right. Last night (2 days after my period ended) I felt a return of arousal and that deep internal ache again.

No, my man & I didn't do anything (personal reasons which I won't go into) but I'm thinking we will tonight and I'm looking forward to it! And that feeling is one I haven't had for over 2 years. It's beautiful.

Overall I believe this diet is most definitely working for me. I've had proof enough and then some and will continue with this way of eating, the supplements & vitamins, and will shortly add a Gyneflex to the mix.

I'll wait until I get one and begin using it before I check in again unless something big or unusual happens and I'll post about it here.

Otherwise, I'm pretty much done blogging here. If anyone has any comments or such, let me know!

Thanks for sharing the journey with me, and if you haven't begun your own.. What are you waiting for??!!!

I'm back after a job hunting hiatus that isn't go so well. Frowner

That aside, unfortunately things are not going so well for me with regards to my libido.

Things have been.. slow. Very slow.

Like 'a thousand year old tortoise that is not in a hurry' slow.

I'm not skeptical, just trying to be patient. I've been at the full dose of FO for a while now (since March 2nd, and added the extra DHA March 6th) and have mostly lost the tingles, extra lubing throughout the day, the erotic dreams and the general overall excitement. I have continued taking the extra iron every 3 days, and also an extra zinc and after that first few days... not too much of anything.

I've been fairly good about my diet- not a single potato chip, and that really hurts!- but have missed my usual dosage of FO a few times a week which may have something to do with all this lack of excitement, hum-drum sex life.

Sigh.

I've stuck to the half-caff coffee and am holding at 1 cup a day, occasionally having half a cup more; eating carbs mostly in the AM (with those sickening eggs. I am so TIRED of eating eggs!), and the complex types in the later day if any; more salads with dinner, more veggies, greens, etc.

The only other thing I can think of is this: he & I are out of practice, or there is still too much stress going on inside of me.

This is frustrating, but I am not giving it up. I want all that excitement and arousal back and I'm determined to get it!!

Still don't have the gyneflex, either. And here's something else I just realized... I've been neglecting my kegels. Hmm....

Ah well... Time to take my afternoon FO & supplements.

Later!

Forgot to mention this: The mind is willing, the body's asleep. Roll Eyes

Really, I am interested in my head. I think about sex somewhat often, but my body isn't in sync with my brain. It's gone back to being quiet.

If my man touches me I do find it arousing and have become interested, otherwise... zzzzzz. (Heavy sigh) So strange.

And no more vaginal O's <even heavier sigh>, though I was close to one a few nights ago. Felt that nice build up, hold, aaannd.... nothing. Grrr....

I've been grouchy alot too lately, and feeing very snappish towards him. Maybe I need to just pounce on him! Big Grin

Okay- I'm off! Happy weekend, all!

I have had this problem (cold feet) for years and just recently learned its most common cause is either a thyroid problem or low testosterone.

I have a thyroid problem but never conected it to my ice cold feet. Have your doctor check you thyroid.

Huntng4Os, I think it might be the stress. There are few things more stressful than job-hunting!

If at all possible, try not to spectator your libido. However, it is very strange that you and some other women here got initial good results and then it went away. Part of that is the natural ups and downs of the menstrual cycle, but I wish I knew what the other part was. Give it time.
