Will low testosterone or low dopamine levels prevent a woman on the diet becoming vaginally orgasmic?

I lift weights every night. A guy I know made a routine just for me that I'm using (if he's reading this - thank you!). He told me weightlifting increases testosterone but didn't say by how much or if it's free testosterone or not. Only today did I think to wonder about that.

Also...do over-the-counter nose sprays like Afrin inhibit the ability to become vaginally orgasmic? I ask because I use it sometimes when I suffer from severe allergies.

Weightlifting increases total testosterone, I believe. Which is a good thing for vaginal orgasms. My diet will help lower SHBG so more of that total testosterone is freed up as free testosterone.

Women with low total testosterone may also benefit from testosterone replacement therapy, if their hormones do not respond to lifestyle changes to increase testosterone. That is the weak spot in my diet.

Have no idea about nasal sprays, although I know antihistamines affect orgasmic ability.

What is SHBG and what purpose does it serve in the body? Are there any foods, drugs or activities that specifically cause it to spike?

Also, are there other activities besides weightlifting that will raise T levels and/or lower estrogen or whatever else antagonizes or neutralizes it?

Also what does dopamine do for libido and vaginal orgasmic ability or the lack thereof?

SHBG binds up testosterone (and estradiol) so only some of it can enter cells. I think it's for pacing and transportation purposes, to get the hormones where they need to go in the right amounts. Only problem is that if you have too much SHBG, not enough free testosterone gets to your cells.

Lots of things make SHBG shoot up, including hormonal birth control and starchy foods. That's part of the reason why my diet has so many different components, to try to hit all the things that keep SHBG high. For example, the zinc also helps lower SHBG.

I don't know of activities that influence SHBG. Generally drugs that affect insulin or estrogen will also have some effect on SHBG.

Getting enough sleep and eating enough fats will help with total T levels.

I think dopamine is really key for libido, particularly for women who are generally lower in dopamine than men. Funny you should ask, I just got in a pages long debate on the pros and cons of raising dopamine with fish oil. Dopamine helps a woman feel connected to her body. This is why many illicit drugs, which generally raise dopamine, can act as temporary aphrodisiacs. Not that I'm promoting illicit drugs!

As for vaginal orgasmic ability, I strongly believe it is governed by dopamine levels in relation to serotonin levels. Not every woman who has exceptional PC muscle tone is vaginally orgasmic, and I believe that this is due to neurotransmitter levels. Some women going on dopamine drugs for various illnesses have reported the side effect of spontaneous vaginal orgasms, and dopamine drugs are in the pipeline for being developed to treat female sexual dysfunction. I like a healthier natural approach with fish oil supplementation.

Zane - can you post a link to this debate you had? I would love to read it. Smiler

P.S. I'd love for you to autograph my copy of your book. And if you ever do a book tour you can be damn sure I'm gonna be there! You're a blessing to women like me trying to become vaginally multi-orgasm.

The thread was on a members-only part of a men's sexuality forum, so the link wouldn't work. Just as well, I suppose.

The whole book thing in some ways seems unreal to me. Of course I've written the thing, but I write a lot anyhow online, it just seems like more of the same and I've been doing that for years now. In my real life in the real world I get up, get the kids fed and dressed, drop them off, commute 45 minutes, work at my programming job with my coworkers from 9-5:30, commute back, pick my girls up, fix dinner, do housework and go to bed. Sure I might have orgasms during my commute and at odd times during the day and I spend my free time online trying to get the word out (and I'm also a news junkie). But those things have been constant for years for me. I don't think the book thing will be real for me until I actually hold a copy of the published book in my hands.

How is the quest for vaginal orgasms coming along? Smiler Any twinges, improved sensations inside, craving for internal stimulation? Those are all precursors.

Ooh! They are?! Excellent! Haven't had a vaginal orgasm yet of any kind (G-Spot, Epicenter, AFE or CDS) but then I've been rather conservative with the amount of fish oil and other supplements I've been taking for the past month. I'm unemployed (temp work to make ends meet) and so I'm being rather stingy in the quantities I take - much less than you recommend - since when this supply runs out I don't have the money to get more soon. Once I get permanent work I'm going back on the diet full force.

So far I've noticed something unusual recently. I've learned how to isolate the back, mid and front vaginal muscles from following Mantak Chia's stone egg exercises in one of his books.

Now, when I squeeze any of those muscles for more than a few minutes I start to feel pleasure with each squeeze. Not as intense as when using direct tapping with my vibrator but it's definitely something new. I've just developed this sensation only within the past few weeks.

I don't think it's a vaginal orgasm. Still kinda feels too..um..soft..or gentle...compared to the clitoral orgasms I've always had. Also the pleasure stops the moment I stop squeezing.

I'm still on level 3 Gyneflex. Frowner I thought for a while I could close it but discovered I was inserting it too far so it was easier to close. Now I leave plenty of 'handle' out and find the distance to close it is much greater and harder. Sigh. I must have really crappy vaginal muscle tone that I can't even close the number 3 Gyneflex yet after all this time.

I've posted some of my experiences with your diet on my Blog

No put it all the way in. You are supposed to have that leverage. Your tone is good, you are definitely feeling the precursors to vaginal orgasm. Vaginal orgasms feel very different from clitoral orgasms. Spontaneous vaginal orgasms with nothing inside aren't too much more than what you are feeling right now. Of course vaginal orgasms produced by something hitting the right spot are stronger, but they still aren't sharp and intense like clitoral orgasms, more full body. If a clitoral orgasms is like a sneeze, a vaginal orgasm is like a shudder. The nifty thing about vaginal ones is that they are so easy, you can have them during sex, and you can have a lot more. But you'll see.

apparently, not only does zinc free up more testosterone,it also increases its synthesis...so i suppose women with low total testosterone would benefit from the zinc supplements
