Hi, Marrena-)
I have stumbled onto your book by a lucky chance, and I am now on the 5th day of the diet. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing the book. I think that there are too many women that are thinking that the changes to their libido are out of their control, and that there is no turning back. Many of them most likely feel guilty for not being in the mood when their partners are, and think that they are bad wives or girlfriends because of that...I know I do! Most importantly, when sexual desire and sexual pleasure are not there, it feels that something truly amazing is missing ... I used to be very sexual, open minded, easily turned on, and then smth happened 8 months ago and my desire evaporated, and so did my self esteem... I have been searching amazon for latest diet books, and saw your book. I felt extremely excited because i was given a chance to gain some control over my libido! I have purchased all necessary supplements, chocolate, eliminated caffeine, and started doing kegels with gyneflex. I haven't noticed any "sexual" results yet, however, I have noticed that I feel more relaxed, and happy. I am a very moody person, but in the last couple of days I feel that I don't get annoyed, frustrated, or angry as quickly or as often, which I think is because of the diet. I have also noticed that I have more patience now, which is in itself simply amazing-) I am extremely excited to see my libido improve, and I will keep you posted on my success or lack of it-) Thank you again very much! What you are doing for women like me is invaluable!-))) |

well, today is the 10th day on the diet, and I have decided to post an update-))
I weigh 129 pounds and currently taking:1700 DHA and 1300 EPA,Cal/Magn/Zink (1000/400/15, and vitamin C. I am also doing vaginal exercises with gyneflex 2 times a week (#3 or 4 depending on the day), and I think that I am starting to feel smth new "down there". It's this strange heavy feeling that comes at random times of the day, which I am hoping is a good thing-))) Also, when my bladder is full, I am noticing this strange sensation, which is difficult to describe...tingling maybe? The only downside to this is I have noticed that I started getting these headaches, but I am not yet sure if thay are because of the diet..I will wait and see...Do you know if other people experienced headaches while on the diet? |

Tingling is good!
I don't know of anyone who has gotten headaches on the diet. Did you used to drink a lot of coffee and have suddenly cut back? That can cause headaches, and I do recommend women cut back on caffeine. |

I know what you mean about the havy feeling- that could very well be the feeling of your vulva being filled with blood and being aroused - good thing. I get tingly in my clitoris when I've been walking which is good for someone who has bad circulation in their extremities like me.
Actually the headaches could be a result of the dopamine- some of the hide effects of a mild dopamine over-dose is headaches. Zane, is it me or is she taking a lot of DHA for her weight? I mean I was on 1300 a day for 140lbs. What fish oil are you taking romantic? Either you are taking a lot of pills, or you have a really good brand?!!! I'm still looking out for a brand that is not too expenisive but has a lot of DHA. Zane you should start a line hehe! |

Yes, good catch! It should be EPA 1700 mg, DHA 1300 mg. Although I don't think any harm will come having them reversed, I think it's total omega-3 fatty acids that need to be watched.
I just generally like to follow nature, and in nature EPA and DHA occur in approximately a 1.5 ratio. The cost is the cost, pretty much for fish oil. Unless someone comes up with an alternate method for creating EPA and DHA. |

Hello Marrena,
I may have misunderstood... I bought separate Calcium, Zinc and Magnesium pills (citrates) and thought I was to take one of the three at lunch and two of the three at dinner. Is this incorrect? Will it do harm or good? |

I don't think there is one pill containing the RDA of calcium. Check the labels for the RDA. You might as well use those up, just take them together.
Most drugstores carry a product--calcium/magnesium/zinc that will give you the RDA for all three minerals in just three pills. |

Hello there again-)))
My computer decided to take a vacation from working, so I couldn't post a reply. To Titania: I am taking 1700 EPA and 1300 DHA, not the reverse (for some reason I switched them in my message) : I am taking 4 pills that contain 400EPA and 200 DHA(Health Balance), and one(Carlson) containing 100EPA and 500 DHA. I bought Health Balance at Costco(240 softgels) for about 32 dollars, and Carlson "super DHA"(60 softgels) in Vitamin Shoppe in USA for 17 dollars. The headaches are fortunately virtually gone, but unfortunately I can't say that the diet is working for me-((( It's been 18 days on the diet, and even though i feel some tingling down there from time to time, yesterday when my husband wanted to have sex I had zero desire, and I wanted to burst into tears...-((( I have checked my testosterone levels ( as well as all other hormones) and it's fine, so there shouldn't be any problem with that, I am also doing kegels with gyneflex (alternating b/w #3 and #4 depending on a day) 2 times a week for 20 minutes. I am still hoping that it will come, so I will stick to the diet until my supplements run out... still hopeful, hopeless romantic. |

Do you have both the levels and ranges for total and free testosterone from your bloodwork, as long as you had it done? Just curious.
Some women it takes a month at the full dose, give it a little time. Also, aside from your husband, are you noticing any sexual daydreams or dreams? Sometimes there can be a relationship pressure built up over time when a woman has low libido that in itself can have a negative impact. |

hello, again-)))
I don't have the levels of total and free testosterone with me, I will ask my doc when I go to see her in a couple of weeks, but I have something exciting to report: yesterday I had sex with my hubby, and even though I didn't feel in the mood in the beginning, i decided to do a couple of kegels (w/t gyneflex) thinking it would warm me up, and it did! Once we moved to the sex part it was great-))) Also, I had a sex dream tonight, and even though I didn't orgasm, I really enjoyed it-))) I think that I just might be one of the women who have to wait for results a bit longer-))) |

All right! Yep, it does make the sex part of sex a whole lot better!
Don't discount your cycle too. Even I have my off days. Have sex when your body is telling you it wants it. |
