ok. so. the reccomended for the 230lb woman is given. Im looking at the zone omegaRX stats, and to get to close to that you get about 3200/1600. (8pills) now that is under the reccomendation. There are 4 pills in one dose, so doing the math i came up with what one pill should be and then adding 2 ( 10pills total) there is a 4000/2000 number. Im guessing a supplemental epa would be necessary. my weight is quite a bit more than 230, so im not worried about the 4000, but i am worried about the price of 10 a day. im guessing that the introduction of fish oil into my diet will make a difference regardless, so im going to start off low and see how things feel.
Has anyone else tried the fish oil that do not fall into the given weights in the book? and if so have you found a combination that works? I would like to avoid spending tooo much money so im thinking the one with an M with the morDHA/morEPA is not the route im going to go.
Supplemental DHA, not EPA. Don't go over the 230-pound dosages I recommend in my book.
It is expensive, unfortunately, and more expensive the more one weighs. You can try the GNC brand or maybe try marine oil instead of fish oil. Just check the label to make sure it is concentrated enough, so you don't have digestive problems, and of course, take the right amount to get the recommended EPA and DHA.
That's right, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending that unless you were under a nutritionist's direct supervision. That's a lot of fish oil as it is!
