Hi Marrrena. I was in the Barnes and Nobel bookstore when your book caught my eye. After skimping through the pages, I immediately purchased it. I would like to say first thank you for all your research and effort you have put into this project. I have been having sex for 22 years and have never had a vaginal orgasm. I am happy to know that I am finally on my way thanks to you. I have already ordered on line the Gyneflex. Tomorrow I will be starting a regular work out routine along with the diet you recommend. I just have some questions concerning the amount of fish oil I should be taking to get the maximum results of the diet.
I am 5'3 and weigh approximately 184lbs. I have thoroughly read the book and went over again the chart on p. 64 and I still cannot do the math.
In the book, you state that we should get 500mg from one capsule combined with both EPA and DHA. I am not sure how to calculate the right amount of EPA and DHA from the one combined capsule. Would it be easier and would it have the same effect if I purchased the EPA and the DHA separate from each other?
If I decided to take oil form instead of the capsules, what would be the correct amount to take for my weight and height?
Start off with the amounts for the 170-pound person. Usually fish oil contains both EPA and DHA, just add them up in whatever brand you get. If your DHA is too low when you are taking the maximum EPA, just get a different brand that's primarily DHA, like Carlson's Super-DHA to supplement.
Thanks for responding. At the risk of sounding slow, I still dont understand how to calculate my dossage. If I am on a 2500mg for EPA, and 2000mg DHA diet, and my product has 300mg EPA and 240mg for DHA, do I take 6 caps per day because each cap is 600mgs and is the nearest caculation to my diet? Also, how will I know if my DHA is too low?
Sorry to bother you, but I just want to make sure I am following correctly.
If you take six caps per day, and each cap has 300 mg of EPA and 240 mg of DHA, then you will be getting 1800 mg of EPA and 1440 mg of DHA. That's considerably lower than 2500 mg of EPA and 2000 mg of DHA.
You want to take eight to get close to your target. That brand is in the right proportion, you don't need to take extra DHA. However, check the serving size. If the capsule itself is only 600 mg, I doubt very much that there is 300 mg of EPA and 240 mg of DHA in one capsule.
Good morning Marrena. Thanks once again. It is a little clearer to me now. I think I may have given you the wrong EPA amount. I will check it again once I get home today. I may even invest in one of the brands your book speaks of.
I am very anxious to start this diet. Although I have to admit today was suppose to be the first day of my exercise routine and I just could not motivate my self. I drank a red bull before coming to work today just so I would not feel sluggish. I know these are not good for me while taking the diet. Do you know of anything natural that I could take to give me the energy I need to get my day started? I do not drink coffee so I do not know what else to do.
I will continue to keep you updated on my progress. I plan on giving your book as birthday and holiday gifts to my girlfriends. I think we all suffer in one way or another but are probably too embarrassed to say anything. I must say you have picked the best title for your book. It is what caught my attention.
New York! I didn't think anyone in NY needed a reason to 'get going' in the morning...I thought you all were just going all the time! :-)
Seriously, a few stretches to some calming music, a glass of OJ, a morning walk/run...all are ways to get going without that caffeine!! They really do work. Like anything else, it's hard to get started but you'll be so happy when you do.
