Hi Marrena -
I started your diet about a month ago. I added fish oil and the supplements you recommended with the exception of iron (my multivitamin has 18mg of iron, so I thought that would do the trick). I tried to rush the fish oil, and learned I needed to take it slow, so I just started taking my full dose of fish oil last week. I haven't noticed much change. In your book, you talk about fish oil being the most important step of your diet, and to start with that, then add the other things if needed. Do you think it would help me to follow the entire diet more strictly? For example, take an iron supplement, watch my carbs more closely, use my Gyneflex more regularly? Or, if I'm not responding, am I a lost cause? I'm thinking that my next step is to have my testosterone levels checked, but I'm not quite sure about how to go about having that done. I looked on the websites you recommended in your book and here, but there are no providers in my area (Tampa, FL). I appreciate you maintaining this website. I had such high hopes of your diet working for me (and so did my husband)! I'm in denial - I don't want to give up on it!!! Mindy |

Mindy,
I know you are looking for a response from Marrena, but I thought I'd add my opinion. I have been working on this diet for a little over a month. I do notice that eating right is a huge factor for me. Eating carbs any time near sex is generally not good and sugar is a big no for me. I have little in the morning and at lunch. I try to avoid at dinner altogether and just eat more veggies. I've also noticed that the more water I drink, the better! Even following the diet strictly, I am still affected by the normal libido fluctuations (based on cycle) as mentioned in the book. Unfortunately, although I've felt more sensation in the vagina, orgasm has not occurred and I do use the GyneFlex 2-3 times a week. Hoping better luck for you, and me! Mafia Princess |

Thanks for the response, Mafia Princess.
I'm not a huge carb eater, but if I'm going to eat sweets, it's most likely at night. And, my water consumption has never been good, much less, great. I will try a diet like you describe and up the water consumption for a week or so, and see what happens. I'm having trouble getting into any routine with the GyneFlex. I have two kids, so there really isn't any good time to use it during the day, and I think my husband would be jealous if I used it at night! Mindy |

I tell women to give it a month at the full dose. You've only been on the full dose a week, give it a little time.

Mindy,
I understand the limitations with kids! I have three boys, but my youngest is now in K so morning is when I can 'exercise'. It is not convenient with a busy life but I want this so badly for myself and my fiance that I find a way. I've been content with clitoral orgasms but learning that sensation decreases, (makes sense why it's so much harder to achieve over the years) it makes my willingness to use the GyneFlex that much more. |
