Hi, I'm new to the diet. I have the same question as other newbys in a different format. What is your recommended dose of fish oil for me. I weigh about 190 lbs and am 5'7" tall. The brand I have is Rexall Premium Fish Oil 1200mg EPA/DHA. Back says serving size 2 softgels with 432mg EPA and 288mg DHA. I'm taking 7 a day, 1- 500mg vitamin c, 3- magnesium/zinc magnesium 400mg/zinc 15mg, 3- calcium 1200+ vitamin d (600mg per softgel) and the multivitamin. No ill effects so far.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I will not have more money for this until sometime after May. Out of town wedding to attend. Anyway, the bottle I bought is huge. I'll just finish these off first. Am I taking a good amount of this brand, for now?
I don't like to answer this question for two reasons--first because it already is in my book and I get asked this same question multiple times a day (here, on other boards, and through e-mails) and more importantly, if I make a mistake in calculating the dosage, because I'm posting here in the middle of caring for my children or working at my programming job, I might make a mathematical mistake and tell a woman too high a dosage, which would be dangerous. I'm only human and I'm not getting paid for this.
