I am wondering if you have any tips for choosing a multivitamin. Is there any brands you would suggest? There are so many to choose from, and many of them include extra things like soy or herbs.
I'm not pregnant and have no intentions of becoming pregnant any time in the next 5 years, but I alternate (one on one day, the other the next) between NatureMade Multi for Her and NatureMade Multi Prenatal because I tend to have rather low iron. (Whenever I've tried to give blood, either I can't give or mine has to go through the second test to ensure I have enough iron to give.)
Marrena, if you have a moment, I'd be interested to know if you think these are OK for the diet or if I should switch to a standard multivitamin. And if you have a recommendation on a standard multivitamin that best fits the diet, I'd appreciate that. (It can be overwhelming in the vitamin aisle! LOL.)
That should be fine. In fact, in my book I recommend extra iron. As long as you've checked with someone that it's safe to do that in the first place, it shouldn't have any bad effect on the diet.
