Hello:

Before I started taking cod liver oil last year, I had a real bad problem with vaginal dryness. It would be so dry down there that it was totally uncomfortable to have sex. I would either have to use oil or some other lubrication or have my husband give me oral sex before hand. Otherwise it would be impossible to have relations. I was taking cod liver oil before I started this diet. And since I have started I dont notice any difference. I still need oral sex before. Or if I dont, I may be able to get through the sex, but it certainly is not as pleasurable. My mucus in the vagina is thick and it wears out during sex kind of quickly. How can I be wetter during sex for a more pleasurable experience?
Thanks,
Kay

I'm confused. You were dry then you started taking cod liver oil and it improved then you traded the cod liver oil for fish oil and you are dry again? Is that what you are saying?

No, before taking any fish oil I was so dry that it felt like pinching when I was having sex. A very uncomfortable feeling during sex. Now it is not that dry. I don't feel pain or pinching, but still it is not wet enough. And sometimes I am not wet enough to facilitate a vaginal orgasm. But if I ask him to give me oral sex, (because I am not wet enough and it is taking too long to orgasm,) then I usually orgasm soon after oral sex. So the cod and/or fish oil have improved the situation. But not enough. I feel that I need to be wetter. Cod liver improved the condition, and fish oil is the same as the cod oil in this situation. I am not more wet or more dry. Both the cod oil and the fish oil work the same. I am just wondering is there any way to become even more wet during sex than I am.

Thank You,
Kay

You say asking him for oral sex like it's a bad thing! Smiler The way you are is perfectly normal and good--women do tend to need foreplay before sex. If you want to dispense with that you have to take it up to where I am, which takes some work. I am vaginally orgasmic simply from about twenty seconds of PC muscle flexing with nothing inside, if I'm concentrating hard enough. I am basically ready for sex at all times. This takes developing the PC muscles to a strong degree.

Also, you could put on more body fat. Body fat helps makes estrogen, and estrogen helps with lubrication.

But really, I think the oral sex thing is a good solution! Smiler

Oh no, I dont think that the oral sex is a bad thing. I guess from what you are saying and what other women are telling me, I am expecting too much maybe. I like the oral sex okay, but sometimes I would like to be wet enough without my husband lubricating me by oral sex. I guess I would like to be more like you describe, ready on the spot. Sometimes, time is of the essence because we share the bed with my 20 month old daughter and I want to hurry up and get it in before she wakes up. Or sometimes I wish that I could just be hot enough for a quickie. But it never happens. I can never perform a quickie, I rarely can have sex twice in a row, I never have more than one orgasm and I feel like I am boring sometimes. I realise that I am blessed that I can have both vaginal and clitoral orgasms. Many women can not, but I am greedy. I want more than what I have. I am on the 5th level of my gyneflex, but I have only been doing it for about 3 or 4 weeks. And I have been on the fish oil for a month with the full dose.
Is it just a matter of time before I heat up more, or is there something else I need to be doing? I have desire for sex, but not like you describe. I was pretty horny right after I got off my period. I am usually more aroused in the day and not so much at night. Right before my period I was hoping that my husband wouldnt ask for any. But most of the time My desire is not very strong. I can be put in the mood, but I'm not like dying to get some or anything. I am going to keep track of my moods to see what time of the months I am most horny. Also I am taking Carlsons fish oil tabs. Do you think the high potency GNC brand is better. I know it is more expensive. I paid $15.75 for 130 capsules with 300 EPA and 200 DHA. The GNC are 19.00 for 60 capsules with 500 EPA's and 300 DHA's I do my gyneflex twice a week for 20-25 minutes like you said in the book.
Okay just tossing around changes that may get me better results.

Thanks for helping

Thanks

Are you breastfeeding, by any chance? Obviously that will dry up lubrication.

I think you are expecting too much from yourself. I consider myself a very high libido woman, but even I would have trouble having sex next to a sleeping toddler in the same bed. I talk about physiology a lot, but the psychological does factor in too!

This is a factor that I didn't pay much attention to. I do remember that the best sex my husband and I had was when we went to the hotel for my anniversary without my daughter. It was also right after I got off of my period. I also didn't think about the fact that breast feeding could dry things up. Yes I am still nursing, but I plan on trying to wean her some time this month. And I do recall, now that I am thinking that you wrote either in the book or on the blog that breastfeeding lowers our desire for sex.

Okay I'm starting to get the picture now. Thank You,
Kay

P.S. I have a question about working the gyneflex. How long did it take you to notice the benefits of increased vaginal sensitivity, clitoral erections, more intense orgasms etc.

You are a superhero among wives when it comes to sex! I give you a gold star! You have definitely gone above and beyond.

Your lubrication problems should all be solved when your lactation hormones go away. Lactation hormones dry out the vagina--part of Nature's birth control (and they also lower libido). Until then, by all means use lube!

Don't worry about the Gyneflex until after the baby is weaned and your milk dries up.

Thanks for the gold star. I must say that it makes me feel better. I couldn't have been a gold star without my husbands years of patience with my non-existant libido. 13 years to be exact. But the last year and a half have been much better. I have been finding things to help me out, and your diet has been the best find ever. I just want to give my husband the best. He honestly had the patience of Job with me. He never made me feel inadequate or unsexy. He rarely showed frustration with me, when I know he had to be. He has a healthy sexual appetite and I was starving the poor man. He was surviving on sex maybe twice a month. He deserves a star also. And I want to be that star that he deserves. Wink

Thanks for Everything,
Kay
