I just bought your book and I'm really excited about it. I also ordered a Gyneflex already. Presently I am on BC Yasmin for PCOS and a method of birth control. I understand that you don't like this kind of birth control because of the hormones, etc. I like being on BC but I was thinking about changing to a different one or asking my gynecologist if it is the BC that is hindering my orgasm reaching abilities.

Do you have any suggestions as far as kinds of birth control that women with PCOS don't have a problem with? Or is this a myth about BC and sexual arousal? On a side note, I don't have any problem with libido.

Any help would be great and I'm not looking for a medical opinion just some advice.

If your libido is fine I wouldn't worry about it.

Of course I'm a big fan of non-hormonal birth control, but I understand that for a lot of women that's not an option.

I have been doing a lot of online research and I read that birth control can have an affect on vaginal sensitivity. Have you heard this? It's difficult to know when things online are true and I am going to be asking my gynecologist in about a week. Thanks!

Birth control can raise SHBG, and that binds up testosterone and reduces libido, so I suppose yes, it could reduce sensitivity.
