Hello -
I really enjoyed reading your book. I have been taking fish oil for the last week. I know that you recommend EPA 1700 and DHA 1400. I am using a Rite Aid Brand that contains 360 mg of EPA and 240 mg of DHA. I have been taking 4 pills a day, which works out to be 1440 mg of EPA and 360 mg of the DHA. I weigh approximately 125 lbs., 5'3". If I up my intake to 5 pills a day then that would give me 1800 mg of EPA but only 1200 mg of the DHA, which wouldn't be enough. But if I up the dosage to 6 pills a day then I would be at 2160 mg of EPA and 1440 mg of DHA. That seems too high for me. Will I still feel the benefits of the fish oil at 5 pills a day? |

Hi Nikkim! Welcome aboard the "O" Express!
I don't know what the quality of the Rite Aid FO is, but you can add 500 mg of DHA with Carlson Super-DHA brand. I get mine at The Vitamin Shoppe for around $18. It has 60 capsules which will last you about a month if you take 2 of them daily, bringing you up to 1360mg of DHA daily. You can probably find it online also if you don't live in the US. www.carlsonlabs.com Good luck and welcome aboard!! Huntng4Os |

Or you could just take five pills a day of what you are taking. That's fine. The dosages are approximate, that's why I didn't give them in smaller increments.
