I'd like your opinion on what the best fish oils would be for children. I have heard that this can help with concentration and other things, since you have a lot of information on fish oils I would like to know what you would suggest. Thanks so much.
I've been meaning to ask this question myself since I'm just too darn lazy to look for info on the internet. Plus, Marrena would probably have that info handy. I currently give my kids Nordic Naturals cod liver oil for kids. I only give them the recommended dose of 1/2 teaspoon a day. I've looked at the capsules but they don't have much DHA/EPA in them and the other liquid fish oils for children say to only use in children over the age of 5. I have a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old so that won't work either.
This guy is very knowledgeable about the fish oil/omega topic, and most willing to help advise re: this kind of question. Stuart Tomc, Educator stomc@nordicnaturals.com NORDIC NATURALS, INC. 94 Hangar Way Watsonville, CA 95076 www.nordicnaturals.com Mobile: 773-914-9338
I just bought my 8 year old Brainiums (saw it on a commercial). They come in gummies and they're to take 4 a day. each pack lasts 28 days, but looking at the information on it, it doesn't seem to have that much dha/epa in it and it was 45 bucks. And I have looked for information online but there's so many different things out there that I wanted to ask here since I know Marrena has done research on the fish oils. I have noticed that the liquid form has more dha/epa than the little pills, so I'm leaning in that direction.
September- Thank you for the information, I will look into that.
It's expensive, but I think Coromega is the best product for kids. It tastes good, it doesn't spill, it's good quality, and it has good levels of EPA/DHA.
