Goodness me, September !! Why is this so important to you?
Sounds as if you are just as keen to have an avatar as you are to have an orgasm, if not more so!! Remember this website is one which Marrena has set up at her own expense, which she maintains using her own unpaid time, and which serves no purpose other than to help subscribers. When we are benefitting so much from Marrena's kindness, it sounds petty to go on about the avatars. They will not improve anyone's sex life |

September, I did activate the custom avatars for everybody. I am a programmer in my day job, after all, I am somewhat competent. The problem is this messageboard software is pretty buggy, and I don't want to do the pain in the ass work of harassing their tech support for a bug fix.

The current settings allow both preset and custom avatars. I switched to custom avatars only, perhaps that will force it to work. Let me know.
I have no idea why mine works and no one else's does. |

Well, Dandelion, it just seemed strange that this message board offers a custom avatar option to participants, but doesn't actually allow them to post one. That is all I've been trying to get across, and get fixed.
I do not participate in many message boards, but thought this one was pretty interesting and relevant, so perhaps I might be involved over a longer term and it would be nice to use an image of my choice and see what image others would choose to represent themselves. It just seemed odd to see only Marrena's image throughout the discussios, but no one else's, and I was just reporting the problem because no one seemed to know about it. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer, nor I am I very techno-savvy, so I didn't realize it was such a big deal. The site offered a custom avatar option in the profile, so I just expected it to work when I clicked on it. I didn't realize that "message board software" is a generic program that "someone else" maintains, that it is full of bugs and glitches, and that it is such a big involved hassle to fix, because no one had mentioned that in the discussion. Now that I understand how things work in the world of generic message board software, I understand why the avatar feature won't get fixed, and I will just go along my merry way. Sorry for any inconvenience or upset. Please feel free to delete this entire discussion and go back to what you were all doing before I came along and brought it up. |
