I would like to post an image in my forum profile, but the site seems to allow only the avatars already on file on your site. How can I post an image from my own files? Thanks.

Select "Custom Avatar" and it will let you upload.

I do not find "custom avatar" or any place to browse/upload. It just says select this avatar (images already there) or no avatar. What am I missing?

That's odd, maybe there is a delay of number of posts or weeks joined before a custom avatar can be selected? I can't remember now.

I know when I go in, "Custom Avatar" shows up on the top right as a clickable link.

I checked again, and nada on the custom avatar option. Maybe that is why so few participants on the board have posted a personal image ... because it doesn't give us the option.

No surprise that YOU get the custom option, since it is your website! LOL!

I looked into it and custom avatars are allowed for everyone. I have no idea why it's not allowing you. What happens when you click on the words in the top righthand corner of the profile settings that say "Custom Avatar"?

There are no words in the top righthand corner of the profile settings that say "Custom Avatar." That option does NOT come up when I go into the profile settings for my registration. I can choose ONLY from the pre-selected images available in the little squares, or No Avatar. The site does NOT give me any words or option for "Custom Avatar."

I am wondering if only YOU are getting that option. Is there a way you can have someone else who has not posted an avatar check on theirs and see what happens?

When I go into my profile settings I get

You can choose an avatar to show on your public member profile page.

I click Edit

That brings me to a screen--on the left are three buttons Select This One, No Avatar and Cancel on the left and on the right there are pictures. Above the pictures it says Avatar Set|Custom Avatar.

I am doing the same thing, and get the same process and options you get, EXCEPT, when I get to the set of avatar image squares, it says only Avatar Set. It does NOT say "|Custom Avatar" next to it. That wording, that option, just does not show up on this end. Don't know what else to say.

If there is someone out there (besides Marrena) who DOES get the "Custom Avatar" option in their profile, would you please let us know? Thanks.

Too bad. Custom images are a fun part of being involved in a discussion board.

So, is it just too much trouble to activate the custom avatar option for everyone? Seems like such a simple thing technologically.
