Has anyone heard of the Persona or LadytoBaby birth control method or used it?
I have heard the IUD can make you very prone to infections and I already struggle w/ this as I have CFS/Fibromyalgia. Do those of you using it love it? Thank you Marrena for responding to my other post and sorry I spelled you name wrong. |

Yeah, I hear of Persona, and I also know that it has a Pearl-index of 6. Thats right, freakin' 6 out of 100 couples get pregnant if they use that during one year.
A condom, when used correctly has a Pearl-index of 2. The pill had a pearl-index of 0,3. Just so you know. I happen to find the Persona as a method on itself stupid. If you want a Natural method of birthcontrol, look into this book: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. I love that book. It teaches women what they should have been taught about their bodies a long time ago. After reading that book I could answer all those questions that were nagging in the back of my head. And I never ever have to buy a pregnancy test anymore! -It teaches me that I have different kindes of cervical fluid. So -newsflash- I don't have an infection every now and then. - I now know when I'm probably pregnant the first day I'm over time. And I can confirm it 2 days later. Without a pregnancy test! - I know when my ovulation occurs. - I can tell when I'm fertile. - I know I cannot get pregnant during the whole cycle, something my schoolteacher failed to mention; or maybe she didn't know either. - I now have a Natural Reliable method (symptho-thermal-method) with a Pearl-index thats 0,4! Let me type that again; 0,4!!! And that without taking those horrible horrible hormones that take my libido and my personality away. - I now have a natural birth-control-method thats fairly cheap. All you need is a Basal Body Thermometer (thats like 10 dollars) and paper to write on, although I use a computerprogram. And your DONE. No doctors trying to make you take once another pill, no docter can tell you more about your gynecological health than you can. Sorry I'm so enthausiastic about this book, but I just think women should have known about this before, and its a shame doctors prefere to give people medication with ugly side-effects instead of simply educating them. SHAME on the people that are supposed to, and swore to HELP us. I already had a LadyComp before I found out about Taking Charge Of Your Fertility, but thats oké, now I combine them. If you are looking into a natural method of birthcontrol, start there and don't even bother peeing on unreliable sticks every day. |
