Hi, I'm a female in my early twenties who's been reading up on these things with great interest - kudos to zaneblue for her creativity and knowledge. I have a couple of questions.
I've been with my first partner for about a year now, and we haven't had success with him manually stimulating me. I end up trying to stimulate myself in front of him, which takes a long time and the result, when I succeed, is just unsexy and not as pleasant as being alone. I think it's a combination of a technique and performance anxiety. I also find that while my libido is fairly high, I lose arousal quickly and have trouble maintaining attention / interest in the proceedings. Any tips here? I should add that I don't have trouble on my own manually, though it takes me a while. No birth control or antidepressants being taken. I am getting a vibrator but would like a longer-term nonmechanical solution. Secondly, I've started with fish oil (about two weeks now - have already noticed some improvements in mood). Is liquid fish oil okay? I'm taking one teaspoon of reputable pharmaceutical grade oil (~800 EPA and 500 DHA). Also, is there anything I can do to enhance absorption and reduce gastric side effects, besides taking it with meals? Also, would splitting up the dosage (half morning half night) also enhance effectiveness? Thanks... |

I should add (just noticed this from previous posts) that I have low blood pressure... which also probably slows down the process.

The gastric problems might have to do with the fish oil quality. Some brands are easier on the tummy than others. Definitely split up the dosage during the day.
There is a subset of women who have everything fine--high libido, good arousal, etc., but specifically have difficulty with clitoral orgasms. I address this in detail in my book, techniques for orgasming from manual stimulation from a partner. A lot of the initial anxiety can be overcome with developing erotic focus and also temporarily abstaining from masturbation--drop down to one-seventh your rate. Also try for a couple weeks drinking some sort of electrolyte drink every day like Gatorade. Let me know how it goes. |
